Dear Kentucky Charolais Breeders:

 

     It’s hard to believe that another year has almost come to a close.  On July 12 we will be holding our 2008 State Charolais Show and our Annual Meeting.  We will again hold this event at the Woodford County Fairgrounds in Versailles.  We will be showing the Junior and Open classes simultaneously.  We will again have classes for composite (percentage Charolais) heifers and steers because we know that many of our breeders are cross breeding in their programs.  Remember that to participate in the Junior Show that the animals must be registered to the Junior exhibitor.  If not, then the animals can only be shown in the Open Show. 

 

     In order to participate in the show, 2008-2009 Membership Dues must be paid prior to the show.  These annual dues are only $25 for adult membership and $10 for youth (4-H and FFA).  Last year the wonderful lunch would have cost almost that much if it hadn’t been provided by our Association.

 

     Remember, we can only promote the Charolais breed by working together.  I’m looking forward to seeing each of you there.
